(1) Transfer Process in Boot Mode
Steps 1 to 3 below detail the on-board programming software transfer process in boot mode.
1. Auto bit rate matching
Auto bit rate matching is performed only when boot mode is selected on the host machine.
Figure 2.15 shows the auto bit rate matching process.

Description:
(a) A voltage is applied to the FWE (or FWP) pin and the mode pin (boot mode setting pin) of the
F-ZTAT microcomputer to start boot mode, and the boot program starts.
(b) The host machine continuously sends code H'00.
(c) The boot program measures the low duration of the received H'00 and starts the auto bit rate
matching process (to set the transfer rate).
(d) After auto bit rate matching is complete (the transfer rate is set), the boot program sends end
code H'00.
(e) The host machine receives the auto bit rate end code H'00.
Note: The auto bit rate matching process (transfer rate setting) is dependent on the operating
frequency of the F-ZTAT microcomputer. The host machine continuously sends H'00 at
9600bps to the F-ZTAT microcomputer. When it receives end code H'00, it quits the auto
matching process. If it does not receive code H'00, it drops the transfer rate first to
4800bps, then 2400bps, and continues to send H'00 until it receives H'00. If, even at
2400bps, it does not receive H'00, it displays a Time-out error message. See the section on
