c) Mounting the main rotor blades
Screw the included rotor blades to the respective receptacle of the rotor head.
Attention!
Tighten the rotor blade screws only so far that the blades can still be aligned exactly by the centrifugal
force.
d) Installing the flight accumulator
The flight battery is not included but must be ordered separately.
Take the following steps to install the flight battery:
Remove the cabin cover. Weld a switch system capable of high current to the connection cables of rechargeable
battery and speed control (1) (see figure 5, item 2; not included). Observe the correct polarity and ensure that there is
no short circuit!
Install the rechargeable battery (3) in the holder (4) and at-
tach it with Velcro (5). In addition to the Velcro tape, attach a
strip of adhesive tape to the bottom of the battery and to the
battery slide to effectively prevent sliding to the front or the
rear.
The helicopter has a safety device to prevent inadvertent
engine start-up. When contact is made with the recharge-
able battery although the transmitter is not switched on or
the pitch control stick (figure 1, item 7) was not set to zero,
the control electronics in the model will not cause the en-
gine to start.
When the transmitter is switched on and the pitch control
stick (figure 1, item 7) is set to zero once, the control elec-
tronics in the model clears normal operating state.
The control electronics indicate this by beeping. If this is not the case, the rechargeable battery must be disconnected
from the speed controller and reconnected after approx. 10 seconds.
Caution:
To prevent inadvertent engine start-up if the safety device fails, the transmitter should be switched on. The
pitch control stick (image1, item 7) must be set to zero so that no acceleration command is sent. Test this
before connecting the rechargeable battery by shortly touching the contact between the battery and the
helicopter first. Make permanent contact between battery and helicopter only after you made sure that the
engine will not start up.
Connect the cable to the battery.
