b) Checking and setting the auxiliary paddles
Check whether the two paddles of the auxiliary rotor (1) have
the same distance to the paddle bridge (2) and are abso-
lutely parallel to each other. In addition, both paddles must
also be exactly parallel to the paddle bridge (2).
Figure 7 is a schematic illustration for the main
rotor, which is not 100 % identical to that of your
helicopter. Points A and B are for orientation
purposes and show the control rods for the pitch
control.
c) Checking and setting the pitch values
First, check the correct installation of the servo levers on the swash plate servos. If the control stick for the pitch control
is in the centre position, the servo levers must be at a 90° angle to the linkage rods.
The pitch value of the main rotor blades should be 5° - 6°. You must use a suitable pitch adjuster gauge to measure
the pitch value.
The following combinations turned out to be the ideal starting point for setting your personal values.
