e) Operating the FPV goggles
To operate the FPV goggles, the rechargeable battery in the goggles and the quadrocopter rechargeable battery must
be charged. The batteries in the transmitter must have sufficient remaining capacity (use a battery tester).
Start up the quadrocopter. The quadrocopter must be ready to start and the LEDs on the quadrocopter must glow
solidly.
Turn on the FPV goggles using the function switch (see Figure 22, no. 1). A blue LED (see Figure 22, no. 2) next to
the function switch will go on to indicate that the goggles are supplied with power.
The display shows the current data.
1 Reception strength of the video radio signal
2 Frequency band and channel indicator
3 Reception frequency
4 Battery life
5 Battery voltage
6 Search indicator
To receive the camera image, channel search must be enabled.
Press and hold down the button for the channel search (see Figure 22, no. 10) until the search indicator (see Figure
24, no. 6) appears on the display.
The camera can transmit images using two frequency bands, each with 6 different channels. The goggles
are suitable for receiving multiple frequency bands. For this reason, search a few times until you receive
the best camera image.
If necessary, you can use the LED indicator lights on the camera module (see following section) to determine the
transmission frequency and set the correct reception frequency for the goggles based on this value.
Manually setting the reception frequency
In addition to an automatic search, the goggles can also be set manually. You can use the button for frequency band
switching (see Figure 22, no. 9) to select the frequency bands (A – F). You can use the button for channel switching
(see Figure 22, no. 3) to manually switch the channels (for example, A1 – A8).
Each time the button is pressed, the setting value changes and can be seen on the display (see Figure 24, no. 2
and no. 3). When the last adjustable value has been reached, the first adjustable value is displayed the next time the
button is pressed.
If no good image is received at the current camera frequency or two quadrocopters interfere with each other's image
transmission, you can change the transmission frequency on the camera module (see following chapter).
