The printer seems to be printing.
Paper is transported, but is not
blackened.
Paper: Incorrect side at the print
head. Only one side of the paper is
printable.
Insert paper correctly. The thermo
sensitive side is usually the roll
outer side.
Test: Move quickly with a fingernail
over the paper. The correct side
gets a black line caused by friction
heat.
Printer can not be switched on by
pressing the FEED key
No power, Batteries are empty
If starting to print the Status LED is
only shortly on and then off
The printer prints only a few
characters in one line. If a full line is
printed the printer stops.
The printer prints only a few dots
per line
Paper feed works but self test not
Power supply is not good. Batteries
are not charged well
Check power supply and charge
batteries. After at latest 1 minute
the Status LED shall be green.
Batteries have been charged over
night but printer prints only a few
lines or not at all.
The battery is used up or has been
charged incorrectly. If battery has
been totally discharged lifetime
goes down and capacity is lost.
Totally discharged batteries may
cause to abort charging within less
than 30 minutes (charging goes
into trickle charge). In this case the
power supply needs to be removed
to reinitiate charging. If printer is
not in use for a longer time it should
be switched off completely. If not
used longer than 3 months then
each three months the batteries
needs to be charged
Interface
Printout is incomplete
The printer gets data faster than it
can print. The internal buffer can
buffer store 256 bytes. More data is
lost.
Check printer settings
Check printer driver settings
Interface trouble. Data transfer is
jammed.
Check cable and replace it
The printer prints incorrect
characters
