6 Troubleshooting
The check of the following points shall ensure that before starting the beginning of patient monitoring all
required preparations have been made or whether problems have occurred during monitoring. In case of
apparent or obviously faulty operation, the Service Department has to be informed provided the fault cannot
be cleared by means of the measures described.
General instructions
•
MPR1 and accessories are not damaged, i.e. have no cracks or loose parts.
•
All patient cables have been connected to the MPR1 correctly (correct mechanical and colour coding of
plug and monitor input socket).
•
The alarm settings are suitable for the new patient.
•
The state of charge of the accumulator is OK.
•
The mains adapter has been connected and the charging process is running.
•
There is enough free storage.
•
Position of use and ambient conditions are in keeping with the specification.
•
The factory setting of the display language is English.
•
After a critical fault the display language is set to English.
6.1 Special instructions for the telemetric measurement of ICP
Apart from a number of advantages, these new functions of MPR1 also include some few fault possibilities,
the identification and removal of which shall be mentioned hereinafter.
