Gently remove the drive carrier approximately 1 inch (25mm), then wait
30 seconds.
4.
Remove the module fully from the drive bay.
The 3.5-inch carrier is successfully removed.
Installing a 3.5-inch Drive Carrier
Overheating damage
There will be inadequate drive cooling if any of the
unused drive bays are left open.
Dummy drive carriers must be fitted to all
unused drive bays.
Component damage
A drive carrier cannot be installed if its anti-tamper lock is
activated outside the enclosure.
Deactivate the anti-tamper lock. Refer for it to chapter
“Removing a 3.5-inch Drive Carrier” on page 103.
