NAME: VERIFY
VE
COMMAND SYNTAX:
[VE[n] [ = < string> ] < CR>
FUNCTION:
The VE command enables the contents of memory to be
compared with an ASCII-converted-binary object file read
from an external device. Each byte of data from the file is
compared with the content of the memory at the location
into which it would be loaded. If a mis-comparison is
detected, an error message is displayed on the terminal.
< string> , if specified, is output before the verification
operation commences, it is intended as a means of instructing
an external device to download the file.

Note: No attempt is made to control the host transmission.
If a verification error occurs, an error message will be
displayed on the terminal. During this time, object records
from the host system are ignored.
