Removing a Failed Heatsink
To remove the heatsink from the DXi6900 G2 Node:
WARNING:
The heatsink and processor are hot to the touch for some time after the system has been
powered down. Allow the heatsink and processor to cool before handling them.

3. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen one of the heatsink retention sockets (see
). Wait 30 seconds for the heatsink to loosen from the processor.
4. Remove the screw diagonally opposite the screw you first removed.
5. Repeat step 4 for the remaining two screws.
6. Lift the heatsink away from the processor and set the heatsink aside.
