ip pim rp-candidate
This command is used to configure the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point
(RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR).
Syntax
ip pim rp-candidate interface {<slot/port> | vlan <vlan-id>} <group-address> <group-mask>
no ip pim rp-candidate interface {<slot/port> | vlan <vlan-id>} <group-address> <group-mask>
<slot/port> -
Valid slot and port number separated by forward slashes.
<vlan-id> -
VLAN ID. The range of VLAN ID is 1 to 4093.
<group-address>
-
Specifies the group address.
<group-mask> -
Specifies the group mask.
no -
This command is used to disable the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous
point (RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR).
