SideKar Extreme User Manual rev 2.1 Page 67 of 87

You can send text to the rig by either plugging a USB keyboard
into the SideKar Extreme and simply typing on the keyboard or
by plugging in your paddle to the rig and using the keyer in the
rig.

For Elecraft rigs, assuming the SideKar Extreme is interfaced
with the rig (cable plugged in between ACC port and RIG-
RS232 port), the rig will transmit the text in whatever mode the
rig is set to. In other words,



if the rig is set to PSK-D, it will send PSK31 or PSK63,

depending on the VFO A setting on the rig.



if it is set to FSK-D, it will send RTTY.



If it is set to CW, it will send CW

You just type and the SideKar Extreme and the rig will take
care of the rest.
