SideKar Extreme User Manual rev 2.1 Page 22 of 87

Starting Up

When the SideKar Extreme is powered on, you will see a
welcome screen briefly. For reference, the firmware version is
displayed on this screen:

The internal WinKeyer will then be initialized. Upon success
you will see:

If you see this screen instead, the WinKeyer initialization has
failed. Re-starting the SideKar Extreme typically resolves this.
If not and the screen persists, please contact QRPworks.

The SideKar Extreme will then automatically attempt to connect
with the rig via its serial port. 38400 baud is the required
speed. It will try 9 times before giving up.
