R e m o t e B u t t o n s T h a t C o n t r o l V C R ’ s
The advanced universal remote controls your TV
and up to two compatible brand VCR’s. The
button can also control a compatible
player.
To control a compatible VCR, first press the
or button to turn on the VCR and put the remote in the
“VCR Mode”. The buttons shown above will then control
the VCR.
The buttons shown below do not operate all functions on
all VCR’s. You may only be able to control your VCR’s
basic functions.

1 VCR1 and VCR2 Buttons:
Press to turn on VCR and put
remote in “VCR Mode” so other buttons will control the
VCR. Press the
N button to put remote back into “TV
Mode”.

2 CHANNEL Up and Down Buttons:
Press to select next
higher or lower channel in VCR’s channel memory.

3 ID
Button:
Press when programming remote to control other
brands of VCR’s.

4 DISPLAY Button:
Press to display VCR’s normal displays.

CLEAR Button:
Use when setting the VCR’s clock and
programming its timer.
STOP Button:
Press to stop whatever VCR is doing:
playing, recording, rewinding, or fast forwarding.
PAUSE Button:
Press to pause play or record mode. Press
again to release pause.
RECORD Button:
Press to record. It is not necessary to press

FF (Fast Forward) Button:
Press while VCR is stopped to fast
forward tape. Press while VCR is playing to search forward.
REWIND Button:
Press while VCR is stopped to rewind
tape. Press while VCR is playing to search backward.
PLAY Button:
Press to start tape playing.
PROG (Program) Button:
Use when setting the clock and
programming the timer.
ANT (Antenna) Button:
Same as switch on VCR.

Press two numbers to select VCR channel
(up to channel “99”). Press a before a single-digit
channel number.

Press to turn VCR off and on after the
