AUTO ANSWERING (PDX-1715 only)
INTRODUCTION:
* When the Answer Mode is set to ON, the number of rings for the system to
answer a call could be selected as 2, 4, 5 or toll saver.
* When the Answer Mode is set to OFF, the number of rings for the system to
answer a call is 8 for user to use remote access.
* When the system runs out of memory, LCD will show [ANS FULL]. The
system will change to Answer-Only mode until some messages are deleted.
* When the predefined number of rings is received, the system will engaged the
line within 200ms after the last valid ring is ended. The system will pause for
1s and then play the OGM followed by a long beep to indicate ICM recording
is started.
* During ICM recording, the speaker will be mute or unmute depending on the
setting of Call Screen.
* ICM recording will stop as well for the following events:
A. A valid security code is detected (Line Remote Access)
B. Long period of silence (7s)
C. Long call progress tones
D. The TALK key is pressed (Call Intercept).
E. The memory is full
(Total record time: 10 min. Max. number of messages: 50).
F. ICM max. record time (54s) is reached.
OUTGOING MESSAGE (OGM):
The OGM is the text the caller will hear when the call is answered. Separated
OGM’s can be recorded for the modes ‘ANSWER RECORD’ and ‘ANSWER
ONLY’.
1. ANSWER-RECORD: the system will answer the call and the caller may leave
a message
2. ANSWER ONLY: the system will answer the call but after playing the OGM,
the line will be disconnected
Record OGM:
1. Press button to enter the menu mode during standby.
2. Press
∆/∇
button to select [SYSTEM].
3. Press OK button to confirm and the display will show [ANSWERER].
4. Press OK button and press
∆/∇
button to select [OGM].
5. Press OK button and press
∆/∇
button to select [RECORD OGM].
6. Press OK button and press
∆/∇
button to select [ANS-RECORD?] or
[ANSWER ONLY?].
7. Press OK button and the LCD display will show [RECORDING...].
Recording is through the handset microphone
Press OK button to stop recording or it will stop automatically when the
max. OGM record time (33s) is reached.
