ATYPICAL SITING CONSIDERATIONS
Coastal or Lakeside
Trees and taller structures can be
down-wind.
Ridge Tops
Wind compresses as it blows
over the top of a hill, increasing
the wind speed.
Plateau/Mesa/Structures
Site the generator far enough from
the cliff to avoid turbulent wind.
The vertical face of any structure
will cause turbulence and affect
overall performance.
