Digital Closed Caption service is a new caption service available only on digital TV programs (also at t
discretion of the service provider). It is a more flexible system than the original Closed Caption system,
because it allows a variety of caption sizes and font styles.
Caption Rendering
Use this option to turn the Closed Caption (CC) feature on or off.
Basic Selection
You can select any one of these options when it is available. The default is set to CC1.
CC1:
These are captions in the primary language that
must be in sync with the sound, preferably
matched to a specific frame.
CC2:
Captions. This channel carries data that is
intended to augment information carried in the
program.
CC3:
Alternate program
second language captions.
