Hardware Issues
A one piece of anti-slip/stick tape 3/4" wide and 3/4" long is provided by ordering P/N 285-
009848000. One piece of tape should be sufficient, unless you experience difficulty installing
the tape. It is advisable to order a quantity of 2.
The hold down clip P/N is 201010384000. Order a qty. of 2 per supply cassette.
Installation Instructions
No special tools are required to install the tape or the hold down clip. A thin instrument such
as exacta knife or small flat screw driver is recommended to install the anti-slip tape.
Step 1. From a single piece of tape, cut two pieces 3/8" wide and 3/4" long.
Step 2. Open the supply cassette and remove the media shaft.
Step 3. Peal the protective film from the back of the tape.
Step 4. The sticky tape covers the cassette pedestal on which the media shaft rests.
Refer to Figure 8-3. Place one piece of tape on the right pedestal and one piece
on the left pedestal.
Step 5. From the inside of cassette, slide the hold down clip over and across the tape.
The hold down clip should be pushed in until tight and secure tape against the
pedastal. Note the position of the hold down clip at the base of the pedestal.
