The smart supply cassette is a rectangular plastic box consisting of a top and bottom cover,
held together by four polypropylene clasps. A memory button, that is used to store the
cassette media information, is mounted to the outside of the bottom cover. Inside the cassette,
is a shaft and two adjustable hubs with 2" media core spindles. (Refer to PantherPro/46
User's Guide, for "Loading the Supply Cassette".)
The media exists the supply cassette horizontally between the drag roller and pinch roller. As
the media moves past the drag roller, pinch roller, and media out switch, the media changes
from a horizontal to a vertical position. The backside (emulsion in) of the media is then drawn
across the imaging roller exposure plane.
Once past the imaging roller, the media will be drawn through an "optional" pin registration
punch system by the drive roller and idler rollers.
