Step 1. Remove the 11 screws that secure the rear panel to the main chassis. One screw
is accessed through a hole on the upper right area of the panel.
Step 2. Remove the 2 hanger screws that are accessed through a hole in the lower left
and right side rear panel.
Step 3. Replace rear panel in reverse order of removal.
7-1.K Storage Compartment Door
Step 1.
Remove the upper and lower shoulder screw which secures the storage
compartment door to the lower right panel.
Step 2. Replace the storage compartment door in reverse order of removal.
7-1.L Lower Right Panel
Step 1.
Remove the 6 screws which secure the lower right panel to the main frame. (One
screw is located in the top right corner of the panel, and accessed from the inside
of storage compartment. Three screws are located behind the left side of the
panel, and accessed at the storage compartment entrance. The last two screws
are located under the right panel.)
Step 2. Replace the storage compartment door in reverse order of removal.
7-2 Page Buffer Module(s)
Step 1.
Remove the electronics cover. Refer to 7-1.A.
Step 2. Remove the Page Buffer Module SCSI ribbon cable connector.
Step 3. Remove the screw(s) that secure the Page Buffer Module to the page buffer
bracket(s).
Step 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each additional Page Buffer Module to be removed.
Step 5. Replace Page Buffer Module(s) in reverse order of removal.
7-3 Big Output Board/WCB
Step 1.
Remove all Page Buffer Modules. Refer to 7-2.
Step 2. Remove all cables connected to the BOB/WCB.
Step 3. Remove the 8 screws which secure the BOB/WCB I/O panel to the rear panel.
Step 4. Remove the 5 screws which secure the BOB/WCB to the electronics chassis.
Step 5. Place BOB/WCB on a grounded anti-static mat. Remove the 18 screws that
secure the I/O panel to the BOB/WCB.
Note: All screws are not the same type snd size.
