Step 6.

Replace BOB/WCB in reverse order of removal.

7-4 Page Buffer (PB) Disk Drives

Note 1: Front drive removal - PB disk drives positioned to the front of the drive mount
cage are secured in place with 4 screws and stand-offs.

Note 2: Rear Drive removal - PB disk drives positioned to the rear of the drive mount
cage are secured in place with 2 screws and a support bracket. To facilitate removal of
rear drive, remove front drive as described above in note 1.

Step 1.

Remove electronics cover. Refer to 7-1.A.

Step 2.

Remove SCSI cable connector(s) from PB disk drive(s).

Step 3.

Separate the velcro loop from the velcro hook and move the page buffer disk
drive SCSI cable(s) away from drive mount cage.

Step 4.

To remove a PB disk drive positioned to the front of the drive mount cage, refer to
Note 1.

Step 5.

To remove a PB disk drive positioned to the rear of the drive mount cage, refer to
Note 2.

Step 6.

Replace PB disk drive(s) in reverse order of removal using mounting hardware
from original PB drive(s).

7-5 LCD and Terminator PCB

Note: The Terminator PCB is a daughter board of the LCD.

Step 1.

Remove front bezel. Refer to 7-1.B.

Step 2.

Remove the three LCD mounting screws which are fastened to the stand-offs.

Step 3.

Remove the LCD ground wire from ground post.

Step 4.

Lift up the LCD/Terminator PCB and disconnect the BOB/WCB to LCD ribbon
cable from the rear side.

Step 5.

Remove the screw which secures the Terminator PCB to the LCD.

Step 6.

Replace LCD and/or the Terminator PCB in reverse order of removal.

7-6 LCD Inverter PCB
Step 1.

Remove the electronics cover. Refer to 7-1.A.

Step 2.

Disconnect the cables from the inverter PCB.
