A “Hardware Communication Failure” message appears on startup
This message indicates that the Empower software is unable to communicate with the custom PRC
hardware inside the device.
Possible causes:
The background software may have crashed; there may be a hardware or firmware
problem; the Empower software has become corrupted.
Option #1:
Reset the device.
1.
Use a paper clip to press the recessed reset button on the back of the device.
Note:
You only need press the button for 3 to 5 seconds.
2.
Leave the device turned off for about 15 seconds.
3.
Power up the device as you do normally.
