Changing How a Word is Pronounced by a Voice 

Note:

 Before changing the pronunciation of a word, be sure that the voice you want to use is selected. 

Pronunciation lists are unique for each voice synthesizer. For example, Apple voices and Voice Keeper 

voices have separate pronunciation lists.

Edit Pronunciations

In the space under Word, type the correct spelling. 

4.

 

In the space under Pronounce As, type word phonetically or the way it should be pronounced. Tap 

Pronounce

 to see if it is pronounced correctly. If not, change the spelling until it sounds correctly.

Save

 and tap 

Done

.

If the word already exists in the Pronunciation list, scroll up to find the word and then tap the 

word to edit to the correct pronunciation.
