Luggage compartment lid
T o open . . .
- insert the master or auxiliary key into
the lock and turn c o u n t e r - c l o c k w i s e . The
lid springs up slightly under spring pres-
sure. Lift the lid by hand to open.
To close . . .
- lower the lid s l o w l y and then push d o w n
w i t h both hands until the lock snaps shut.

Engine compartment hood
To release . . .
- slide the release lever (arrow) on the
left side underneath the dashboard panel.
The hood springs up slightly under spring
pressure.
Caution: Do not drive with the hatchback
open to prevent exhaust gas from being
drawn into the car. If you must drive with
an opened hatchback, open the windows and
turn on the fan to force fresh air inside
the car.
To open
- Lift hood slightly and press safety catch
handle u p w a r d (arrow). Then lift up the
h o o d . The windshield wipers should not
be tilted forward.
W i t h light switch in either position 1 or 2,
the engine compartment light will come
on automatically.
To close
- lower the hood slowly and then push d o w n
with both hands until the lock snaps shut.
