Porsche Stereo-Cassette-Radio
O n : turn left knob (A) clockwise
The power antenna w i l l rise automatically.
Off: turn knob (A) counter-clockwise
The power antenna will retract automatically.
Station selection: W h e n radio is turned on,
a light on the scale will light up to indicate
the position of the selected station.
Station change: Depress right knob (B); the
next station will be selected automatically.
Sensitivity control - mono/stereo
Lever (D) behind the right knob is a local
and distance station search c o n t r o l . D e p e n d -
ing on lever p o s i t i o n , stations transmitting in
either mono or stereo can be selected as
f o l l o w s :
Pos. 1: all stations that can be received are
selected but are played in mono only
Pos. 2: all s t r o n g or w e a k stations are select-
ed (stereo and mono)
Pos. 3: only strong stations are selected
(stereo and mono)
Stereo: Stereo reception is indicated by a
green light. The reception of a distant (weak)
stereo station can be improved by switching
the station search lever to position 3 (mono).
This does not affect the green light.
Wave band selection: Depress either one of
the buttons above the scale
LW: long wave 150-285 K H Z
A M 1 : medium wave 520-920 K H Z
A M 2 : medium wave 900-1605 K H Z
S W : short w a v e 5.95-6.2 M H Z
F M : ultra short wave 87.5-108 M H Z
FM stereo ultra short wave 87.5-108 M H Z
(in this mode only stereo FM stations
are automatically selected)
Tone modulation: Turn lever (C) behind left
k n o b to change to high or low tone.
Channel balance: Pull out left k n o b (A) and
turn to balance left and right speakers.
Balance f r o n t to rear loudspeakers by t u r n -
ing the k n o b left to handbrake (see " L o u d -
speaker balance c o n t r o l " ) .
Cassette player: Insert cassette w i t h full reel
on right side. Push cassette fully in to start
cassette. The radio program will be shut off
automatically. Cassette w i l l be ejected auto-
matically w h e n tape has c o m e to its e n d .
V o l u m e , tone modulation and channel balance
is the same as for the radio.
Push buttons w i t h two arrows for either fast
forward or rewind. Push the left button to
stop "fast f o r w a r d " or " r e w i n d " . Push the
right button to eject the cassette.
