Safety thermostat:
It’s on the boiler and when
the temperature value on
the body boiler exceed the
standard allowed, stopping
the functioning of the
heater; for the functioning
see “Safeties operation
concerning over-pressure
and over-temperature”.
Electronic control unit:
It’s in the electric panel
board and regulates the
functioning of the boiler
through the level probe,
and the heating elements;
for the functioning see
“Operation of the
electronic level control for
boiler”.
CONDENSATE RECORERY TANK (if equipped)
Electronic control unit:
It’s in the electric panel
board and regulates the
functioning of the tank
through the level probe;
for the functioning see
“Operation of the
electronic level control for
condensate recovery
tank”.
RESIDUAL RISK
For the residual risk is defined as a potential danger
arising from the allowed use of the steam generator
and impossible to eliminate.
Follow the safety
instructions (see "Safety warnings") to prevent injury or
damage to things.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Before any operation, please read carefully the
“Safety warnings“.
PACKING
The steam generator can be packed by (weights and
dimensions see “Technical Specifications”):
a)
Wooden pallet with cellophane
:
the steam generator is bolted on the wooden pallet ,
thus allowing to be lifted and moved by mechanical
means (forklift truck), at the anchorage pins and
wrapped with a polyethylene bag (PE) stapled on the
bottom of the pallet.
b)
Indupack
:
as above with an extra carton envelope blocked on
the bottom with steel straps.
c)
Other solutions upon request.
UNPACKING AND LAYING OF THE
STEAM GENERATOR
Proceed as follows:
a) Remove the steam generator and the accessories
from its packing by using proper tools.
b) Settle the steam generator as indicated in “Safety
warnings-Site”; proceed with caution and with the
help of a second person moving the steam generator
from the wooden pallet.
c) Proceed with assembling the accessories and the
various parts supplied disassembled for packing
purposes according to the model of the steam
generator:
- tank breather hose
- temperature controller
Generators do not need to be fixed on the floor but they
are prepared for that possibility if required.
WATER AND DISCHARGE CONNECTION
(SEE DRAWING PAGE 10-10)
For machines without tank:
Fit a 3/8" zinc-platted gas pipe to within 100 cm of the
machine.
Fit a ball valve with tube connector “POS. 66” to the end
of the tube, and connect it by a rubber hose (Øint 13
mm) suited to the mains water pressure to the water
input ”POS. 3”.
Connect the boiler drainage gate valve “POS. 4”, to the
drain using rigid heat-insulated pipes.
For machines with tank:
Fit a 3/8" zinc-platted gas pipe to within 100 cm of the
machine.
Fit a ball valve with tube connector “POS. 66” to the end
of the tube, and connect it by a rubber hose (Øint 13
mm) suited to the mains water pressure to the water
input ”POS. 5”.
Connect the boiler drain gate valve “POS. 4”, the tank
drain gate valve “POS. 6”, the tank breather “POS. 8” to
the sewerage using a rigid heat-insulated pipe.
For machines with and without tank:
In case of sewerage not available near by, or the drain
of hot water is not allowed, use a 15-20 litres tank to
collect the boiler waste water (the water can be drained
when it becomes cold) the tank drain and the tank
breather.
N.B.:
if local regulations regarding the contamination of
the water mains so require, install a water feed tank or
one-way flow device to prevent the back-flow of
possibly polluted water to the water mains (for example,
a GIACOMINI R 624).
N.B.:
In the case of excessively hard water (more than
17° French=12° English), a water softener may be
installed to reduce the dissolved salts by no more than
10° (French) or 7° (English).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
(SEE DRAWING PAGE 10-9)
Ensure that the mains voltage and phase correspond
with the data given on the machine specification plate
(see page 2-1).
