Start-up and ink loading
Starting up the printer
Before powering up the printer, make sure that:

All safety/transport fixtures have been removed

The tray is inside

No objects or tools are placed on the tray

The cartridges are filled with ink and properly inserted into their respective slots

The maintenance tank is empty and in place
After the first powering up of the printer an automatic ink charge will be initiated.
DO NOT
DO ANYTHING TO THE PRINTER UNTIL THE INITIAL INK CHARGE IS
COMPLETED.
After the ink charge is completed, perform a nozzle check to confirm that all
the ink channels were filled correctly [MENU

ENTER]. For best viewing of all the ink channels on the nozzle
check, place a transparent film page at the top left corner of the table (Picture 3). A perfect
nozzle check should look like the one below:

Make sure that the ink assignment is correct (see Table 1.). If you see any gaps as shown below
(Picture 2.), perform a Power Cleaning from the printer’s top panel menu

If for any reason the automatic ink charge is NOT initiated after start up, the user must do it
manually by performing at least 3 Power Cleanings from the printer’s top panel menu. After the
three Power Cleanings, perform a nozzle check. If the nozzle check isn’t perfect, perform one or
two more Power Cleanings, until the nozzle check looks like the one in Picture 1.
