Power and Startup
Symptom
Problem
Corrective Action
The handset does not charge.
The SoundPoint IP 200W phone
has no power.
Verify the charger is powered:
•
Check that the power cord is
connected properly to the charger,
and that power is turned on.
Verify batteries are inserted correctly:
•
Check that the batteries are inserted
with the plus and minus ends facing
the correct way.
The handset registration failed.
The handset is out of range of
the gateway.
Handset registrations should not take
longer than 60 seconds.
Verify handset is in range of the gateway:
•
Ensure that the gateway AC_CODE
matches the Phones AC_CODE. By
default, this is set to 0000.
•
Move the handset closer to the
gateway, place it in the charger, and
reset the gateway.
•
Reset Handset using the Service
menu.
Press the
OK
key, then select
System
. Press the following keys on
the dialpad: 4, 2, 6, 8, and 5.Select
Handset > Defaults
to reset the
handset to factory defaults. This will
clear the handset MMI and will allow
the handset to re-register to the
gateway in registration mode.
The gateway power indicator is
not lit.
The SoundPoint IP 200W phone
has no power.
Verify the gateway is powered:
•
Check that the gateway power cord is
connected properly, and that the
adapter is plugged into a power outlet.
