Mini300plus
1. From the Apple menu, choose Chooser to open the Chooser screen.
2. Click on the LaserWriter 8 Icon in the small window on the right. Also
verify that “Active on restart” is selected for AppleTalk (see the bottom
of the screen).
3. All the Post Script printers on your network will be displayed. The
number at the end of each printer name indicates the port number in
use. To print to the printer attached to Port 2 on the Mini300plus, click
on the printer name that ends with “2”. Click on the Setup button.
4. If this printer has not been configured as the default printer, the system
will prompt for a PPD (printer description) file. Select the PDD file for
the printer in use. If your printer cannot be found in the list, click on
the "Use Generic" or “Generic” button. If you plan to use these
settings afterwards, click on the "Re-configure" (or equivalent button)
in one of the other windows.
5. Now, the printer you have selected is now configured as the default
printer of your computer. If you are using any application right now,
select the Page Settings option (or an equivalent option) to enable
the printer.
