Step 1 Measure the actual transmittance of the external lens or IR window. (This may
require the help of a measurement standard source).
Step 2 Tap the external optical transmittance setting icon .
Step 3 Slide the transmittance value on the screen up or down to match the actual
measured transmittance (0.01

1.0).
Step 4 Tap the screen outside of the menu area to complete the setting.
If there is no external lens or window, the external optical transmittance
value should be the default value (1.0).

External optical window temperature
External optical window temperature refers to the temperature of any external lens or IR
window used in front of the lens.
•
To set the external optical window temperature:
Step 1 Measure the temperature of the external lens or IR window.
Step 2 Tap the external optical window temperature setting icon .
Step 3 Slide the temperature value on the screen up or down to match the actual lens
or IR window temperature (see Section 3.3.2 for the units settings).
Step 4 Tap the screen outside of the menu area to complete the setting.
For measurements over short distances and at normal temperatures,
the external window temperature may be left at the default value.

Temperature measurement tools
Tap the temperature measurement tools icon to open the corresponding submenu.
This submenu is used to define regional temperature measurements. See Section 3.3.2
for the temperature unit setting.
