Work to be carried out by at least two persons.
Remove the screw [D] and the washer [E], working from the inside, and
rotate the lever [F], which moves the glass panel clamp, so that it no longer
presses against the frame. (Fig. 50)
Remove the damaged glass, handling it with care.
Dispose of the damaged glass: it is recyclable waste.
Use a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly clean the points where the new glass
panel will rest, scraping and removing any residues of gasket that have
remained attached to the glass frame.
The new glass panel complete with gasket is fitted into place between the
glass panel clamp [G] and the frame [H] (Fig. 51).
Check that the fitted gaskets do not become separated or overlap each other.
The signs on the glass must be towards the top.
Rest the side edge of the glass panel on the internal rebate of the collar [I],
checking that there is full contact in the points where the glass is supported
[L]. (Fig. 52)
Reclose the glass clamp [G] gradually tightening the chain by means of the
relative lever [F]. When closure is complete, secure the previously removed
screw [D].
Ensure that the chain links are properly engaged with the teeth of the glass
clamp lever. Any overlapping will prevent locking and could lead to
breakage.
