Installing the IP67 switch
3.4.1
Connecting the 24 V DC supply voltage
The switch is operated using a 24 V DC voltage (US1 - bus logic), which is applied via COM-
BICON/AIDA. The voltage supplies the switch on its own. The voltage US2 (sensor voltage)
will only pass through the switch (see figure below). Should you wish to supply the device
redundantly, two appropriate power supplies must be connected in parallel to US1. Ensure
that the power supplies used are suitable for parallel operation.

3.4.2
Signal contact
The switch has a floating signal contact. An error is indicated when the contact is opened.
A B-coded M12 connector (located on the device) is used to connect the signal contact.
Pin 1 and Pin 4 are used for the signal contact. Pins 2, 3 and 5 are not used.
