other enclosed places!
q
The Gas Table is not a built-in unit. Do not install the Gas Table in a slide-in construction

When in use, the Gas Table must stand on an even, stable surface and away from any
flammable materials. On soft ground the legs can sink in, so that the table cannot
stand upright anymore!
q
Ensure proper assembly as well as proper initial operation. To do this, always follow
the steps described in this manual. See the sections on
assembly and initial
operation as well as the instructions for connecting the gas supply – LP gas
.
Never conduct any structural changes to the Gas Table. These can cause accidents.
You will also lose all warranty and guarantee claims. Failure to comply may cause
fire or explosion, resulting in property damage and/or serious or even fatal injury
to persons and animals.
q
Never lean over the Gas Table when cooking. Always wear appropriate clothing.
Long, wide sleeves can quickly catch fire.
q
Danger of injury!
Always use only one piece of cookware per gas burner.
q
The Gas Table and all its parts become very hot when used. Use heat-resistant gloves
when using the Gas Table. We recommend the Petromax Aramid Pro 300 Gloves.
q
If oil or grease is used, you should always have adequate fire extinguishing agents
(powder fire extinguisher, fire blanket) available nearby the Gas Table.

If a fire breaks out, bring yourself and all other persons to a safe distance from the

and no more than 35 cm.

q
No flammable materials (dry plants, wood, paper, grass, etc.) may be placed within
a radius of 60 cm above, below, behind or to the side of the Gas Table.
q
The use of natural gas to operate the Gas Table is not permitted. Converting the Gas
Table for use with natural gas and attempting to use natural gas with this Gas Table
are dangerous and lead to the loss of all warranty and guarantee claims.
q
If the burner goes out during operation, close all gas valves. Wait five minutes before
you relight the burner. Please refer to the section
Before using the Gas Table
in
this manual.
q
If a grease fire occurs, set all burners to "OFF" [•] and close the gas cylinder. Always
keep a powder fire extinguisher and/or fire blanket ready for emergencies.
q
After longer storage or longer periods of non-use, check the Petromax Gas Table
before use for gas leaks and for clogging of the burner. The appropriate instruc-
tions for this can be found in the section
Inspection before initial operation and
periodic checks.
q
Never search for gas leaks with an open flame.
q
Never operate your Petromax Gas Table if a gas connection is leaking.
q
If the Gas Table is not being used, close the cylinder valve and disconnect the gas
cylinder. Store the gas cylinder in a well-ventilated place outdoors or in a semi-open
shelter.
q
Make sure that there are no ignition sources nearby when changing gas cylinders.
q
Always protect the gas hose from excessive heat. Keep it away from any heat source.
q
Make sure that the gas cylinder is only changed or connected outdoors and at a safe
distance to ignition sources.
q
A dented and/or rusty gas cylinder can cause hazards. Never use gas cylinders with
damaged valves.
q
There is always a residual amount of gas even in an almost empty gas cylinder.
Therefore, transport and store an empty gas cylinder with the same care as a full
gas cylinder. Only transport a gas cylinder with the cylinder valve closed, the valve
sealing cap screwed on or, in the case of cylinders without a protective sleeve, with the
protective valve cap on. Only store the cylinder in a vehicle for immediate transport
and ensure cross-ventilation throughout this time.
q
Under no circumstances should you attempt to disassemble the gas regulator or any
other installation parts of the gas hose while the Gas Table is in use.
q
Do not move the gas cylinder while the Gas Table is in use.
q
Only use an officially approved gas hose and pressure reducer.
