6.11 Leak Detection

IF A LEAK IS SUSPECTED, VENTILATE THE

AREA AND ENSURE THERE ARE NO NEARBY

IGNITION SOURCES.

Isobutane (R-600a) is a low pressure refrigerant

(30 PSIG @ 70°F). If checking for a leak, the

system should be at a minimum temperature of

70°F.
Use an isobutane (R-600a) compatible electronic

leak detector, check all joints, tubing and coils

for leaks. If a leak is detected, replace the

refrigeration module (

see

Section 6.6
