SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
ROUTERS
1.
Before use, please read the instructions on use
very carefully, as well as the safety instructions.
Observe all safety precautions and pieces of advice.
2.
Clamp the workpiece.
A clamping device is safer
than holding the workpiece with your hands..
3.
Observe safety precautions when dust generated
during work is harmful for your health,
inflammable or explosive.
It is forbidden to use the
power tool in places with inflammable substances
and gases.
4.
Do not work on materials containing asbestos
.
Asbestos is carcinogenic.
5.
Power cord must never come close to the moving
parts of the tool.
Lead the power cord behind your
tool.
6.
Never use a power tool with a damaged power
cord. Do not touch the damaged power cord, but
disconnect the plug from power supply
. A
damaged power cord increases the risk of an electric
shock
.
7.
Connect the plug into a power outlet only when
the On/Off switch is in the Off position.
Unintentional start can cause personal injuries.
8. Wires of the extension cable must have a minimum
section of 1,5 mm
2
and the cable must be fully
unwound. Use only extension cord that is intended for
outdoor use and equipped with a splash-proof
coupling-socket. Connect the tool via a fault current
(FI) circuit breaker with a triggering current of 30 mA
maximum.
9.
Switch ON/OFF the power tool only with its
switch and not by pulling the plug from power
socket.
10.
Keep hands away from the cutting area. Do not
reach under the material being cut
.
11.
In case the tool is blocked, immediately switch it
off and unplug it.
12.
Guide the tool against the workpiece only when it
is switched on.
When the power tool reaches its
rated speed, start working. Never start the router if
the cutter is in contact with the workpiece. Danger of
kickback.
13. Always guide the machine with both hands, using
the handles provided for this purpose.
14.
Pay attention that the base plate rests securely on
the material while routing.
An inclined cutter can
break or lead to kickback
.
15.
Never use heavily worn out or deformed cutters.
16.
Remove all obstacles above and under the cutting
line before you start cutting.
Do not put any other
tools on the workpiece. The workpiece must be clean,
without any remains of sawdust.
17.
Never change the cutting depth setting during
work.
Danger of a personal injury and damaging the
power tool and workpiece.
18.
Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation where the cutting tool
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord
.
Contact with a "live" wire will also make exposed
metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator.
19. Watch out for any screws, nails or other items in
the part being worked on, which might cause
considerable damage to your machine and/or its
tool.
20.
Secure the power tool from impacts and drops.
21.
When the cut is completed, switch off the power
tool and wait till the cutter has come to a
standstill.
Never reach in the cutting area before the
cutter has completely stopped. Danger of bodily injury
22.
Before you put down the tool, loosen the router
table.
23. Always put down the tool on a horizontal and clean
surface
.
24.
When the power tool is not used, keep it in a dry
place and protected from dust.
25.
Children must never use this power tool.
