4.8.10.
Check of the Electromagnetic Valve 486611.01
Perform the following operations during the check:
а
) Insulation Resistance Check - using an insulation tester with direct voltage of 100 V at relative humidity of 30
80 % and normal temperature of 20 ± 10

F). The insulation resistance is measured between the pins
of the plug of the device and its casing and it must be at least 20 M
Ω

b) Switching Voltage Check - after connecting the valve to adjustable voltage source, the valve must open on voltage
not exceeding 18 V DC.

Leak-Tightness
Check:
Test the function of the electromagnetic valve by repeated switching of current. Perform the Leak-Tightness
Check either with air or with oil at pressure of 20

, which is fed to the output sockets. The valve is
closed during the test, i.e. without voltage. Check by outside inspection, if the testing medium is not leaking from
the input sockets and other joints of the device and if it is leak-tight. Permissible leaking is 1 drop of oil in 2
minutes. In case of unsatisfactory leak-tightness, flush the valve with petrol and repeat the Leak-Tightness Check
once more.
4.8.11.
Check of the Speed Transmitter Slot
(The description is related to Fig. 18)
Perform the following operations during the check:
Remove the securing wires and unscrew three M2,5 bolts.
Remove the speed transmitter.
Check the air slot between the transmitter and the toothed wheel.
In case that the slot is outside the dimension of 0,15-0,3 mm, it is necessary to set the correct dimension using
distance washers from the set of replacement parts (1:10);
Check the condition of the gasket ring. If defective, replace it with a new one from the set of replacement parts.
Tighten three M2,5 bolts and secure them with binding wire.

4.8.12.
Check of the Overrunning Clutch, Brushes and Commutator of the Electric Starter
(The description is related to Fig. 19)
Perform the following operations during the check:
Disconnect the feeding conductors from the electric starter terminal box.
Dismount the electric-starter from the gear-box
Bend the safety washers of the fastening bolts.
Dismount the fastening bolts on the electric starter socket (5)
Push the electric starter out from the gearbox
Dismount the collector casing (1 )
Check the function of the clutch
When rotating the starter wheel (2) manually clockwise, the clutch must be engaged (the rotor starter
rotates with the starter wheel)
When rotating the starter wheel (2) manually anti-clockwise, the clutch must be disengaged (the wheel
rotates freely, the rotor of the electric starter is standing).
Check the play V between the protrusions of the clutch body (3) and the cage (4) in locked position (engaged)
by a slot gage across the apertures on the front of the starter ;
Perform the check for all protrusions of the clutch body and cage.
if the play is less than 0,5 mm, it is necessary to replace the electric-starter.
Check the length of electric starter brushes and when it is necessary provide change according next instruction;
By the clean pressure air remove dust from commutator;
Check the surface of commutator, when seems damage must be changed!
Check the depreciation of brushes (8) in next schedule:
Remove screw (7), pull out spring which hold brushes on commutator and take out the brush from fitting;
