13.6 - Condensate
trap cleaning
The condensate trap must be cleaned
every year. Follow the steps below to
properly clean the condensate trap
and its associated components while
refering to fi gure 68:
1. run the fan as described in section
13.12.2, to minimize the amount of
liquid present in the trap, item “A”;
2. follow the steps in section 13.2
to gain access the internal
components;
3. carefully cover the electrical panel
with a waterproof material, “B”, to
prevent water from entering the
electrical system;
4. grip spring clamp “G” with a pair of
pliers and slide it downwards;
5. pull the condensation trap hose “H”
off the trap;
6. remove the fan-burner assembly
unit, follow steps of section 13.3;
7. protect the gas valve outlet, from
entering any object or condensing
water;
8. unscrew nut “I” from the bottom of
the trap, “A”, and pull it upwards,
taking care not to spill the
condensation;
9. open the condensate trap taking
care not to loose o ring “L” and
clean the inside “M”;
10. re-assemble everything in reverse
order, taking care that oring “L” is
placed in the proper location;
11. refi ll the condensate trap per
section 11.1.2.
