5 • Troubleshooting and maintenance

A valid link has not been detected.

•

Verify that the cable is plugged into the hub,
switch, or workstation and the Model 3092.

•

Verify that the hub, switch, or workstation is
powered on.

•

Verify that the correct cable is being used.
Depending on whether you are connecting to a
workstation (PC), hub, or switch, either a
straight-through or cross-over cable.

•

Replace the cable. If the problem still exists,
contact Patton Technical Support to determine
whether the DACS needs to be replaced or not.
