3. Click on the selection area.
The I-bar appears in the selection area.
TYPE: the name of the file
4. Click on the OK button.
A confirmation window appears indicating that the file does not exist and asking:
Do you want to create it?
5. Click on the Yes button.
The name of the routing table file and the current date as last edited appear in the Routing
Table Information Area.
Generating a Routing Table
Like the grt command, the MRT creates new routing tables from the NMS facility profiles, but,
unlike the grt command, the new routing table is not downloaded automatically to the specified
node. Rather, it is loaded into the MRT and entered into the Node Selection list. The source field
must be set to Ntwk prior to generating the routing table. Please refer to Selecting the Network as
the Source or Destination for a Function.
To generate a routing table, perform the following steps:
1. Select Generate from the Table pull-down menu.
The Node Specification dialog window appears (see Figure 1-5). This window asks for
which node or nodes to generate routing table(s).

2. You can specify which node to generate routing tables in two ways, generating for all
nodes or for specific nodes. The default is all.
