Keep Alive: AIS
Next AIS One NetLp Prev
Network Keep-Alive Signal. Specifies the type of keep-alive signal to be transmitted to the
network interface when a valid signal cannot be recovered from the DTE interface (LOS or
continuous OOF), or the CSU is otherwise incapable of sending a valid signal.
AIS
–
Sends an unframed all ones signal to the network in case of an unrecoverable DTE
signal. This complies with AT&T 62411 and FCC Part 68.
One
–
Sends a framed all ones signal to the network in case of an unrecoverable DTE
signal. This complies with FCC Part 68 only.
NetLp
–
Loops back the received network signal in case of an unrecoverable DTE signal.
This complies with FCC Part 68 only.
Yellow: Enab
Next Enab Disab Prev
Transcode Yellow Alarm Signal to the network. Specifies whether a yellow alarm signal
received on the DTE interface is transcoded and transmitted to the network. The yellow
alarm signal is transcoded by detecting the yellow alarm on the incoming signal and
converting it to the appropriate format to be transmitted to the network. This configuration
option does not appear if both the network and DTE interfaces are set to the same format
(either ESF or D4).
Enab
–
Transcodes the signal transmitted to the network.
Disab
–
Disables transcoding.
NOTE: The interface port marked DTE must only be connected to an FCC Part 68
Registered (for USA) and Canadian DOC Certified (for Canada) Digital Service Unit or
System, such as PBX, with a DTE interface. Failure to do so is a violation of FCC
Rules or DOC Regulations.
Circuit Ident:
Next Edit Clear Prev
Network Circuit Identifier. Specifies the transmission vendor’s circuit identifier for the
purpose of facilitating troubleshooting. The network circuit identifier is an ASCII text string
that may be up to 255 characters in length.
Edit
–
Allows you to edit and/or display the network circuit identifier using the generic text
string entry screen.
Clear
–
Allows you to clear the network circuit identifier. The network circuit identifier is
set to a null string.
CRC PThru: Disab
Next Enab Disab Prev
CRC Passthrough. Specifies whether framing bits are passed to the DTE so it can detect
framing or CRC errors. This configuration option appears only if both the network and
DTE interfaces are set to the same format (either ESF or D4).
Enab
–
When NET Framing is set to ESF, neither framing bits nor CRC bits are
recalculated before being sent to the DTE. When NET Framing is set to D4, framing bits
are not recalculated before being sent to the DTE.
Disab
–
Any framing or CRC bits that are in error are recalculated before being sent to the
DTE.
