(4) The drain pipe w ith a trap should b e installed aw ay f rom the indoor unit.
(5) D o not f orcib ly install the drain pipe to the indoor unit tub ing.
If f orcib ly installed, it may result in w ater leaka ge.
(6) The drain pipe should b e f ixed at the nearest of the indoor unit.
F ailure to do so may result in w ater leaka ge.
(7) D o not attach any air purge eq uipment.
If attached, drain w ater may result in splashing out of the drain pipe.
(8) W hen the drain piping is completed, perf orm the w ater leak test and check f or a w ater leak.
If detected, it may result in w ater leaka ge or condensation.
(9) W hen the drain piping is completed, perf orm the drainage test if the w ater drains smoothly.
If not draining smoothly, it may result in w ater leaka ge or condensation.
(10) W hen the drain piping w ork is f inished securely, w rap the insulation material around the indoor side drain pipe.
At this time, do not w rap together w ith the ref rigerant tub ing.
If w raped together, the drain pipe is lif ted and w ater drainage w ill not b e operated.
Coincidentally, the w ater comes out of the drain pan and it can lead to w ater leaka ge.

Since the drain trap area easily
accumulates the dust inside the drain
pipe, necessarily install the plug in
order to clean out the drain trap.

C A U TIO N
(2) How to Install the D rain Pipe
Connect the hard PVC pipe (O . D . 32 mm) to the side of
the sof t PVC sock et of the drain hose.
Apply approx. 2
g
of adhesiv e on the side of the sof t PVC
sock et of the drain hose and the side of the hard PVC
pipe.
D o not apply f orce to the drain port w hen connecting the
drain pipe. Install and f ix it near the indoor unit as close
as possib le.
(1) How to Connect D rain Port and D rain Hose
F irst insert the supplied hose b and into the drain port
pipe. Then mak e sure the head of the screw is f acing
tow ard a technical engineer w hen placing the screw of
the hose b and at an upw ard angle.
Insert the sof t PVC sock et of the supplied drain hose to
the drain port pipe.
N ev er apply th e adh esiv e to th e soft PV C sock et
side.
Insert the drain hose to the point w here there is a
dif f erence in lev el as show n in the f igure b elow and f asten
it w ith the hose b and 5 mm aw ay f rom that position.
Tightening torq ue must b e 2. 5 ~ 3. 4 N · m.
· Tightening position of the hose b and must b e upw ard.
