External Display

Press

Each time you press the key combination:
Internal LCD

Simultaneous display

External display

The extended desktop function allows you to use the working area across both the internal LCD and the external display. You
can drag an object from the internal LCD to the external display and vice versa.

To switch to the Extended desktop

Connect the external display.

The [New Display Detected] screen appears. If not, perform the procedure of “To change the display settings”
(below).

Click [Show different parts of my desktop on each display (extended)].

Click [Right] or [Left] for the location of extended desktop, and click [OK].

To change the display settings

Right-click the desktop, and click [Graphics Properties].

Click [Extended Desktop], and select the settings for [Primary Device] and [Secondary
Device].

Click [Display Settings] and set the display color and resolution etc.

Click [OK].

NOTE

Always change the settings in the manner described above.

It may not be possible to use the extended desktop with some software applications.

When you click the maximize button, the window is displayed on one of the displays. You cannot move the maximized
window to the other display.
