CAUTION
Damage of the heating system due to freezing!
In the Off switch position the frost protection mode is deactivated, meaning there is no pump or
valve operation. In this case, the heating system can freeze during low outside temperatures.
► During low outside temperatures, the operating mode switch of the controller
may not be set to Off .
Main switch of the heat pump
When controlling the heat pump via communication, the mains switches for the heat pumps are
listed in the menu for the operating mode switch. They are shown as mSw-HPx . The “x” stands
for the position number of the heat pump (1 to 3).
These parameters replace the
OFF/ON
and
FORCE
buttons on the control panel of the heat
pumps.
Switch positions
Switch position mSw-HPx
Off Heat pump is switched off
Auto Heat pump is controlled by the controller
Force Heat pump is switched on in emergency mode (electric heating element in the
inside unit is active)
If the master switch of the heat pump(s) is not set to
Auto
, then the following fault message is
shown on the display:
System fault switch not Auto.

Selector switch for the “Cooling” mode
The following requirements must be met to perform in the menu for the operating mode switch
also the selections switch for the “Cooling” operating mode:
● The heating system utilizes heat pumps that support the “Cooling” operating
mode.
● The selection switch
Terminal 161 cooling
has the function “Cooling
requirement” ( demCool ) assigned to it.
In this case, the “Cooling” mode can be activated manually, regardless of the outside
temperature, by using the selection switch Cooling .
