Operation
1.
Never place hands or feet near rotating parts, in the auger/impeller
or chute. Contact
with the rotating parts can amputate hands and feet. Keep a safe distance from the
discharge opening at all times.
2.
After hitting a foreign object, switch off the engine, remove the spark plug cable,
disassemble the wire on electric motors, inspect the snow thrower thoroughly for any
damage and repair the damage before restarting and operating the snow thrower.
3.
When cleaning, repairing or inspecting the snow thrower, stop the engine and make
sure the auger, impeller and all moving parts are stopped. Disconnect the spark plug
cable and keep it away from the plug to prevent anyone from accidentally starting the
engine.
4.
The control levers must operate easily in both directions and return automatically to
the disengaged position when released.
5.
Never operate the snow thrower without guards and other safety devices in place and
in good working order.
6.
Never allow a motor to run indoors or in a poorly ventilated area. Engine exhaust
contains carbon monoxide, an odourless and lethal gas.
7.
Never operate the machine, while you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or
fatigue.
8.
Use extreme caution when working on or crossing gravel surfaces. Pay attention to
hidden hazards and traffic.
9.
Be careful when changing direction and when driving on slopes.
10.
Plan your snow throwing pattern to avoid discharge against windows, walls, cars, etc.
to avoid possible property damage or personal injury
.
11.
Never direct the discharge towards persons or areas where damage to property may
occur. Keep children and others away.
12.
Do not overload the capacity of the machine by trying to clear snow at too fast a
speed.
13.
Never operate this machine without a clear view or adequate lighting. Always be sure
of your footing and keep a firm grip on the handles. Walk, never run.
14.
Disconnect the power to the auger/impeller during transport or when the machine is
not in use.
15.
Never drive fast on slippery surfaces. Look down and back and be careful when
reversing.
16.
If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug
cable and ground it against the engine. Examine the machine thoroughly for damage.
Repair any damage before starting and operating.
