Replacing the engine oil
To avoid engine damage, it is important to:
⚫
Check the oil level before each use and every five operating hours.
⚫
Change the oil after the first two operating hours and then after every 25
operating hours.
⚫
Engine oil is most easily drained if it is hot, but not immediately after operation.
1.
Locate the oil drain plug, see Figure 28
2.
Make sure the fuel cap is on and tightened securely.
3.
Clean the area around the oil drain plug, see Figure 29.
4.
Place an approved reusable oil container under the oil drain plug.
5.
Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil. NB: Remember that used oil must be
disposed of in accordance with applicable local regulations.
6.
Fit the oil drain plug and tighten securely.
7.
Fill the engine with recommended oil, the
engine oil capacity is 700 ml
.
8.
Wipe away any spilled oil.
Checking the spark plug
Check the spark plug annually or every 100 operating
hours.
1.
Clean the area around the spark plug.
2.
Remove and inspect the spark plug.
3.
Replace the spark plug if the porcelain is cracked or if the
electrodes are pitted, burned or fouled with deposits.
4.
Check the spark plug gap with a suitable measuring tool and adjust the gap to 0.76
mm if necessary. See Figure 31.
5.
Reinstall the spark plug and tighten it securely. NB: Ensure that the correct spark plug
type is used when replacing it. See specifications.
