•
Never smoke or allow others to smoke in the vicinity of fuel or in the vicinity of the
chainsaw when it is switched on.
•
Always wipe dry any spilled fuel from the chainsaw before it is started.
•
Ensure you have moved at least 3 metres away from the stored fuel before starting the
chainsaw.
•
Stop the engine before removing the fuel cap.
•
Always empty the fuel tank before storing the chainsaw away. Store the chainsaw and
fuel in a location where fuel vapour cannot reach sparks or open flames from other
equipment or electrical motors and switches.
Safety in relation to maintenance
•
For maintenance of equipment, cf. the user manual’s recommendations.
•
Always remove the spark plug before carrying out maintenance, except when adjusting
the carburettor.
•
Keep unauthorised persons to a safe distance when adjusting the carburettor.
•
Use only original spare parts.
•
Inspect equipment every time it is taken into use if the equipment has been dropped
or if the equipment has been exposed to other effects.
•
When transporting equipment also ensure that the equipment is transported safely
ensuring that there is no loss of fuel, damage or accidents.
•
Clean and maintain the equipment as described in the instructions. Always store the
chainsaw with the guide bar cover on.
•
Always store and transport the chainsaw with the cover on.
Transport and storage
•
When carrying the chainsaw, always ensure the engine is switched off and keep the
muffler away from the body and with the guide bar pointed behind you.
•
Allow the engine to cool down, empty the tank, cover the guide bar with the cover and
activate the chain lock before transporting the chainsaw or putting the chainsaw into
storage.
•
Empty the fuel tank before storing the chainsaw away. It is recommended that the tank
is emptied every time after the chainsaw has been in use.
•
When storing equipment with petrol in the tank, ensure that equipment is stored
safely and securely so that it will not leak petrol.
•
Always put the guide bar cover on the guide bar when storing and transporting the
chainsaw.
•
Clean the equipment before storage and maintenance. Always store the equipment
out of the reach of children.
