7.2
Remote Wired Control Input
There is a hardware control-line located on the power input connector (see section 3.4,
page 13) which can be used to start and stop recording via an external switch or
sensor. The two Control Input modes are:
Level Trigger:
Records while the External Control Input is connected to ground.
Normally used with an external record switch.
Pulse Trigger:
Each time the External Control Input is connected to ground,
SoundByte records for a pre-set (trigger) time, set by the Minimum
Record Time box (see section 7.3 below). If the input is re-triggered
whilst recording, the trigger-timer is reset.
If the External Record Control Input and VOX are enabled together, recording will start
when either the external trigger or the VOX trigger become active.
