External Record Control Input
The power connector includes a
“Record Control” input which is software
programmable to start recording when connected to ground. By default, this control
line is disabled and is setup via the SoundControl PC application (see Section 7.2,
page 27). It can be configured to record when active (e.g. when a switch is closed) or
to record for a minimum time each time the input is temporarily triggered (e.g. by
external sensor such as a PIR detector).

Audio Monitor Output
SoundByte’s Audio monitor output is a mix of the 2 or 4 audio inputs after
amplification. It is enabled via by SoundControl (see Section 7.3, page 28). Connect
the power splitter cable and RCA phono cable as shown below.

The monitor has enough output power to drive most headphones which can be
connected via the RCA phono to 3.5 mm jack socket adaptor provided.
