equipment type. It also contains the unpacking instructions, the storage and
transport requirements.
3.2
UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS AND STORAGE, TRANSPORT
REQUIREMENTS
3.2.1
Unpacking
No particular operations are required for the unpacking. However, it is advisable to
leave the material in its original packing until it is to be installed. Once the packing
is opened, make sure that all the items listed in the forwarding document are
present. Moreover, check the condition of the contents to ensure that no damage
was sustained during transport and storage phases. Save the original packing for
possible future use.
3.2.2
Storage
This paragraph is addressed to the personnel responsible for receiving and storing
equipment that are not to be installed immediately.
Avoid impact or excessive pressure on the packing in order to prevent damages to
the contents.
The unopened packing should be stored in an environment with temperature
between –40°C and +70°C and relative humidity not exceeded the value of 90%.
3.2.3
Repackaging and transport
The repackaging criteria may differ according to the means of transport, the
environmental conditions, the period of no-use, the storage time and conditions.
The original container, if well preserved, guarantees any further transport and/or
storage within the limits specified in the previous paragraph. For greater protection
during transport and/or storage, it is always advisable to repack the equipment as it
was originally packed.
