The microprocessor provides the following software functions:
•
management of “Groups” and “Volume” potentiometers (via digital I/O), 25 key
keyboard, display and leds (green and red);
•
management of operating program and set-up data download;
•
management of all signals to/from Radio Unit.
The controller interface, via two RS232 asynchronous serial lines via a suitable
interface module between the control panel and the radio unit.
The keyboard has the following characteristics: 25 keys matrix arranged and
backlit under microprocessor control. The keyboard condition is controlled via
microprocessor via I/O ports.
The display has the following characteristics: 160x80 pixels LCD full graphic
display; the led backlighting is activated under microprocessor control. The display
status is controlled by a microprocessor via an 8 bit bus.
The display module hosts the controller, which manages the LCD device.
The contrast regulation of the LCD is realized by varying the biasing of the glass.
The function is controlled by microprocessor.
The display allows visualizing the information with different character dimensions.
This function allows visualizing the text area in three rows of ten characters each
and characters with doubled height.
Apart from the alphanumeric information, the display allows visualizing a series of
symbols that allow the user to immediately see the operating status of the system.
