4.4.6 Change Credentials
This section allows you to change the default
user name
(
default
) and
password
(
OSS
).
To change the
user name
, simply enter your new user name in the
user name
field. To change your password, enter your new password in the
password
field. Enter it again in the
password(again)
field. The password in both fields must match before they can be accepted.
IMPORTANT
The
user name
and
password
fields are case-sensitive.
When you have finished changing the default user name and password save the current changes by clicking on the
Save New Credentials
button at the bottom of the screen:
4.5 Reset to Default Values
You can restore your EB7-X8G2-RAS chassis to the factory default values by pressing and holding the Alarm Reset Button for 10 seconds the
Power LED will blink during this 10 second period. When all values have been restored, the LED will stop blinking and turn off.
4.5.1 Configure your SNMP Agent
If you use an SNMP agent to help you monitor your network, you will find all necessary monitoring information in the MIB file.
Retrieving the MIB File
The MIB file is available for download at:
http://www.OSS.com/drivers.asp
in the SNMP section of that page.
After you click on the MIB file link, save the file as type “All Files” to your preferred location. You may then open the file (using Notepad, or
equivalent text editor) and all the information needed to configure your SNMP agent will be displayed on the screen:
